Following the initial public consultation organised by the developers on 20th October 2011, a group of eight local residents formed a core committee to resist the development of a wind turbine overlooking the villages of Coldridge and Nymet Rowland and in close proximity to a number of individual properties.

The group has a total local residency of more than 180 years and three-quarters of them have family connections with Devon and the south-west peninsular, some going back many generations.
